Own up is off to a great start to the new school year, we hope yours is too!
We have been visiting more schools and we are doing more than just helping teens get smart and stay sober now! We're now developing curriculum for teachers' school year classes during substance abuse prevention classes that teachers may need for their classrooms! We are helping them bridge the gap between mindfulness and actions and how they can effect their future.
An annual favorite of ours! Working with the local authorities.
A great place to reconnect with southern Arizona and getting ready for the new year! July 17-19
Combs High School table was a great place to meet the students and parent of this wonderful community!
Each year we reach out on a more personal level with the students and offer an interactive contest to help build awareness around our mission. This year was no exception to awesomeness, as we had many entries again and tons of likes and shares, and landed on our winners down in Tuscon of all places! […]
Always a pleasure to be representing responsibility at these events!
Our table always has the best kids coming to it, so happy and eager to share their ideas!
We loved the energy here. Powerful community.
At GCU we were able to connect to the students in person and learn alot about their goals and ambitions.
Own Up is an industry sponsored campaign, and was first launched in spring 2012 by the Beverage Alcohol Community Information Council (BACIC) in collaboration with and funded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The campaign is a compliment to the various programs implemented by Arizona’s beverage-alcohol industry that seek to encourage a responsibility-mindset when it comes to alcohol. Own Up will target teens, parents, educators, local restaurants, bars and other influencers with in-school promotions, partnerships and resources to change the mindset about underage drinking and its far-reaching implications.
